Artelumen - Integration of bus sytems

In the last few years, intelligent Building Management Systems (also known as BMS) have become more and more important for the lighting industry. This complex subject accompanies Artelumen concerning the creation of a technical room book in which luminaires, types, switching groups, technologies, switching capacity, dimability and more electronic elements are presented in tabular form. This kind of room book is used by electrical engineers for calculating illumination logics, separate installation elements as well as for dimensioning of the required control boxes.

The initial programming should be discussed with the building owner and the electrical engineer in a preliminary talk. For this purpose, we create switching and dimming scenes, which are based on the above mentioned room book. In this list, several switching groups are summarized as scenes, which reflect the demand of the building owner of the daily practical use (e.g. scene dinner). In these separated scenes, switching groups are proved by dimming values (e.g. 10%, 70%) which could correspond to the use according to our experiences. After having lived in this object for a certain time, all luminaires should be readjusted technically.

In addition to that, it is really advantageous for the building owner to find out an appropriate button assignment for the lighting system together with our help. The handling with the bus system, the switching groups as well as the handling with the individual lighting scenes can be simplified enormously.
